๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ - the song

๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, not more dealing with that damn feeling of the full moon crawling through her veins, she could finally walk down the street without giving every single person a dirty look, okay, perhaps that wasn't entirely the full moon's fault, but she would blame it on the moon nonetheless.
Herself and Matt walked side by side as Jessica took the lead, the tapping of Matt's cane echoing off the pavement. If it were her, she wouldn't bother throwing a spare glance at Matt or his cane, well, she would take a second to appreciate what she could see, but she wasn't entirely sure if that's what the passerby's were doing.
Every five minutes or so another person would lock their eyes onto the vigilante's frame, trail their eyes down and land on the cane, eyes widening as their gaze retreated either back to his face, or to where they were walking as if they had done something wrong.
"I think it's up here," Jessica spoke, breaking the ten-minute walk of much needed, peaceful silence.
Matt tilted his head, his cane accidentally smacking into Olivia's ankle as her pace sped a little, he muttered a quick sorry, which she brushed off, she had been stabbed with a rusted pole before, his cane was merely a tickle in comparison. He then addressed Jessica. "You think?"
"I don't know. All these brownstones look the same, don't they?"
Matt chuckled, as Olivia snorted at her friend's mistake.
"Oh, shit." Jessica sighed as she turned her head back slightly to face to two, giving Olivia a quick scowl for laughing. "Sorry, I keep forgetting you're-"
"Don't worry about it. Happens." He reassured with a smile and shrug. "So, what do we need to know about the architect?
Olivia listened on as Jessica explained how the architect's wife had hired the P.I to find him, this, the wolf knew already seeing as Jess had kept her updated whilst she was gone. Matt listened intently as the stoic woman explained how just before the architect had said 'They were going to take down the city' before shooting himself.
Obviously, they now knew the 'They' were in fact The Hand. "Was he a part of the Hand?" Olivia questioned.
"He said he was one of the good guys."
"And do you think he was telling the truth?" The Hale queried, knowing that even though she and the man walking beside her could read heartbeats, Jessica could read people like an open book, after all, that was a big part of her job.
"He was desperate. Started stockpiling explosives."
"You think his target was Midland Circle?" Matt asked the P.I as they turned a corner into a road that looked exactly like the previous one.
"Maybe." The raven-haired woman spoke before pausing as she trailed her eyes over one of the houses. "Actually, I think this is it."
Matt rose a brow as he came to a stop, clutching his cane in his hands. "You think?"
"Ninety-nine percent." Upon seeing the disbelieving look Olivia directed to her, she sighed. "Okay, ninety-two percent. But that's still a lot."
Olivia huffed and rolled her eyes jokingly before taking the steps towards the house two at a time and wrapping her knuckles on the door lightly as the other two joined her.
Inside she heard slow-moving footsteps that definitely took their time as they trailed to the door, eventually the door slowly opened to reveal an unimpressed teenage girl who took a second to gloss over the trio.
As the teenage girl's eyes landed on Olivia, the wolf smiled; this kid had after all, just lost her father, she understood the poor girl, she had been sixteen when she had lost a majority of her family and the girl standing in front of her looked to be about that age.
Surprisingly, the teenager returned the smile, it was crooked and on the verge of breaking, but it was a smile, and that alone meant the girl was strong as hell.
The girl cleared her throat before diverting her gaze to Jessica as her smile sobered to a thin line once again. "My mom isn't here."
"You have any idea when she'll be back?"
The girl shook her head, strands of messy brown hair falling into her face. "What do you want?"
"Just to talk."
"About my dad again?"
"About what happened."
The girl leaned against the door and though it was barely noticeable, her eyes were starting to turn red as tears began to brim. "You said so yourself. He got mixed up with the mob or something."
"Wasn't the mob." Matt interrupted causing the teenager to move her stare with a slight frown.
"Sorry, who are you?"
Olivia sighed as she jabbed her elbow into the vigilante's arm. "He's a lawyer."
"A what?"
"My name is Matthew Murdock. We think there's more to your dad's story." Matt began to explain as tried to step forward, though not being able to do so as Olivia pulled him back.
The Hale plastered on a soft smile, an odd look on her to those that knew her and calmed her tone to a comforting one. "We think there's more to your dad's story and we want to ask you some questions, if you're okay with that, of course."
Olivia watched as the teenager gave her another once over, hoping that her caring look would gain them access. After a second or two, the teenager sighed deeply and moved to the side, allowing the trio inside.

It might have been a little rude, but rather than joining Matthew, Jessica, and the teenager; Lexi, on the couch Olivia took her time scanning the home. It was dull, a dull yellow coating the walls, a dull grey carpet lining the floors, hardly any photographs or paintings hung up. Though, the one thing that did catch her attention was the large piano.
The wolf's attention diverted itself to Jessica as she mentioned the word 'Friend'. She didn't have many, so the Hale wondered what exactly she was about to say that would help them.
"...His dad was a boxer who got in way over his head and got himself killed."
Ah, she was talking about Matt. The man's heart had begun to pump faster, beats echoing inside of her sensitive ears as she dawdled closer to the group.
"And for a long time, my friend thought his dad abandoned him, too. Until one day, he learned the truth; that his dad was actually killed because he wanted to stop being a criminal. He wanted his son to be proud of him"
Jess then directed her gaze to Olivia who sighed and closed her eyes as she sunk onto the couch.
"Another friend of mine thought her sister had abandoned her and her brother, she hadn't; she had gone back to their old home to make sure it was safe enough for her siblings and was killed. She didn't leave them, she was protecting them."
Flashes of her sister passed in front of the wolf's eyes before she opened them, and stared at her friend, bypassing the look on Matt's face as his head turned in her direction, after all, subtlety wasn't Jessica Jones' style.
Jessica directed a small smile towards her friend before turning back to Lexi. "Whatever. I'm just trying to say they were both good people and maybe your dad was, too."
It was silent. Lexi, who was clearly a smart kid kept glancing between Liv and Matt, clocking on to who the P.I had been talking about. Olivia didn't know what to say to break the tense silence, so instead, she drew her attention back over to the piano, remembering how her older brother's ex-girlfriend Paige would often teach Olivia notes and songs on the instrument when they got bored of watching Derek's basketball practice at school.
You could have given Paige any instrument and she'd be able to play it with ease; Olivia was not so lucky, she could barely pluck a guitar string without making Paige cringe and recoil at the sound, though after months of lessons, the wolf became rather skilled at playing the piano.
"He would sit at the piano sometimes, but he wouldn't play. Not like he used to." Lexi spoke, jolting Olivia out of her memories and bringing her back into the conversation. "He didn't do anything like he used to. I missed him long before my mom came to you, long before he died."
Olivia's eyes dropped, she felt for the poor girl. Seeing somebody you care about slowly turn into somebody you can't recognize was one of the worst feelings in the world, especially when you didn't know how to help them. That is if you could help them.
The wolf's voice was soft as she lifted her eyes back to the teen. "Do you play?"
Matt, Jess, and Lexi's attention snapped to the brunette who had remained quiet since she had stepped inside the house. Olivia didn't exactly know what she herself was doing, but, the young teenager missed her father, she missed hearing the notes of the piano drifting through their home, sure this might not get them any answers, but it would cheer her up.
Lexi shook her head. "Uh, no. Do you?"
Olivia hummed, a small smile glossing over her lips. "My brother's girlfriend taught me when I was... about fourteen maybe?"
"I always wanted my dad to teach me."
Olivia nodded towards the piano as she stood, ignoring Jessicas questioning look. "Can I?"
"Yeah, sure."
Olivia smiled and held her hand out to the teen, who hesitated before grabbing it and allowing herself to be pulled to her feet and over to her father's instrument. Jessica furrowed her brows and laned back on the couch, watching her friend do whatever she was about to do; she trusted Olivia.
Matt, however, pushed himself to his feet and walked over to the couch Lexi had previously been sat on and leaned against the back of it, listening as the girls walked closer to the instrument, interested in whatever the wolf was doing.
Olivia took a seat, scooching to the left to allow the girl to sit beside her and brushed her fingers over the pristine white keys lightly, memories of Paige flooding back.
"Okay, so, put a finger here, and here." The wolf directed, nodding as the teenager rested her fingers on the right keys. "Press this one, this one, and then this one."
The teenager followed the instructions, three notes ringing out making a small smile creep onto her face. "Do I keep pressing them?"
Olivia nodded, watching the girl repeat her actions with the same three keys. The wolf then brought up her own hand and began to press some of the keys. As the notes mixed together they created a sound that sounded like one the songs she and Paige would often play.
As Olivia moved her hand further down the piano to add more notes to the mix, a dull sound was emitted from the piano causing her to frown and press it again; the same sounds filtered out along with the slight sound of rustling.
Matt and Jess walked over, clearly having heard the wrong note sound out. Jessica rose a brow as she looked over the piano. "I'm guessing that wasn't part of the song?"
The wolf shook her head as she stood, moving to the side of the instrument, next to Matt. "No, something's messing up the key." She quickly grasped the lid of the piano and lifted it, as she peered inside, she caught sight of a bundle of papers. She grabbed them and handed them to Jess before placing the lid back down.
Jess fiddled with the papers, pulling them open to reveal the plans of the building the architect had been working on and let out a huff of air at the revelation.
"Why were they in the piano?" Lexi questioned from where she was sat on the piano bench.
Olivia scanned her eyes over the papers with a small shrug. "Probably didn't want them to fall into the wrong hands, who'd look inside a piano?"
Lexi stood, eyeing the trio carefully with crossed arms, a hint of distrust on her face. "Are yours... The right ones?"
Matt smiled reassuringly at the girl. "I promise, whatever your dad was doing, we're on your side now. But we're gonna need a minute here, okay?"
"He's right, we're trying to help, I promise," Olivia spoke as she took a seat next to the girl. Lexi stared for a moment, biting her lip, before nodding, returning the small smile Olivia gave her.
Who would've thought they would find the plans inside of a piano, thank God she had decided to play it, otherwise they would have been running around on a wild goose chase trying to find any answers at all, but now, they hopefully had what they needed.
"He was gonna blow it up for sure," Jessica muttered as she scanned the papers, as she turned the page, her eyes widened. "Oh, shit."
"What?"
"This isn't for the building." She revealed, confusion spread across Olivia's face as she stood and took her place next to her friend, urging her to continue. "This is something below the building."
Olivia leaned forward, glossing over the words, taking in as much information as she could. Her eyes widened as they landed on a diagram and she turned to her partners. "It's... There's something at the bottom of the hole, something under Midland Circle."
